JI Islamabad Will Not Leave Victims Alone: Nasrullah Randhawa
ISLAMABAD (Sabah News) – June 5, 2026 – Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Islamabad Ameer Nasrullah Randhawa has stated that JI and Al-Khidmat Foundation stand with the victims of the Rawat market fire during this difficult time and will not leave them alone.
He was addressing a ceremony where cash aid, ration packs, and Eid gifts were distributed among the affected families. The event was also attended by Al-Khidmat Foundation President Altaf Sher, Vice President Ghulam Sarwar Tabsam, Zone Nazim Waqas Ajmal, and Political Committee President Huma Ayub.
Rawat Market Completely Destroyed, Victims Face Severe Hardships
Nasrullah Randhawa said that the Rawat market fire has completely destroyed the area, leaving victims in severe distress. He demanded that the government and Islamabad administration immediately disburse compensation to the victims and take emergency measures for their rehabilitation.
‘Local MNA is Product of Form 47, Hasn’t Even Met Victims’
The JI Islamabad chief took a sharp jab at the local Member of the National Assembly (MNA), calling him the “greatest product of Form 47” (a reference to disputed election results). “Sadly, he has not even visited the victims yet,” Randhawa said.
He added that the people are being deprived of their elected representatives while the bureaucracy has turned into an “officer-sahi” (rule of officials).
Aid Distributed to Restore Eid Happiness
Randhawa explained that cash assistance and ration were being provided to restore the victims’ Eid happiness. He assured that JI Islamabad and Al-Khidmat Foundation will continue every possible cooperation in the rehabilitation process even after Eid.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of Eid packages and financial assistance to the affected families.
