Liberation of Masjid al-Aqsa Should Be the First Point of Makkah Defense Pact: Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman

If Petroleum Levy Is Not Abolished, We Will Launch March from Multan: JI Ameer

Announces Public Gathering in Charsadda; Addresses Gaza Solidarity March on Al-Aqsa Flood Anniversary

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Ameer Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has stated that the liberation of Masjid al-Aqsa should be the first priority of any defense agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye.

Addressing a Gaza solidarity march in Islamabad, he demanded that Pakistan adopt a clear stance on Palestine and convene a conference of Islamic heads of state to deliver an unequivocal message to Israel to end its brutality against the people of Gaza.

“The rulers staged a drama of Trump’s mediation on Kashmir – where did that mediation go? We know that occupied Kashmir will not be liberated through anyone’s mediation, but through strength and sacrifice,” he said.

The march was also addressed by JI Deputy Ameer Mian Muhammad Aslam, JI Islamabad Ameer Nasrullah Randhawa, Secretary General Islamabad Zubair Safdar, Friends of Palestine leader Dr. Bilal, and Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba Provincial Nazim Ahmed Abdullah.

Nationwide Rallies Mark Al-Aqsa Flood Anniversary

On the appeal of the JI Ameer, rallies and demonstrations were held across the country on October 7 to mark the anniversary of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood. Thousands of participants raised Palestinian flags and chanted slogans in favor of the people of Gaza.

Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman saluted JI Islamabad, particularly the women and elders, for organizing the Gaza march. He said that despite Pakistan’s own problems and ongoing activities, the participants deserve commendation for remembering the people of Gaza.

‘Petroleum Levy Struggle Will Intensify; Charsadda Gathering on Friday’

However, he made it clear to the rulers that Jamaat-e-Islami will further intensify its ongoing struggle regarding the petroleum levy and public rights. He announced that a public gathering will be held in Charsadda on Friday.

He revealed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has sent a message to schedule a meeting. “We will meet him as well. However, he must fulfill his promise and provide relief to the people on the levy. Otherwise, a march towards Islamabad will begin from Multan, and convoys from across the country will reach the federal capital and stage a sit-in. The people of Islamabad should prepare to host them,” he warned.

‘Form 47 Rulers Imposed on the Country’

Hafiz Naeem stated that people brought in through “Form 47” have been imposed on the country, and that a hybrid system is in place. “The situation in Azad Kashmir is not right, terrorism continues in KP and Balochistan. The government should not further divide the people in these circumstances and should not snatch their democratic right,” he said.

He urged the rulers to abandon their luxuries, noting that the Chief Minister of Punjab travels in an Rs. 11 billion aircraft. “This is a mafia system. The imposed elite will have to give rights to the nation. Jamaat-e-Islami will bring the oppressed people face to face against this mafia system,” he asserted.

‘Struggle for Palestine Will Continue’

Hafiz Naeem reaffirmed that the struggle for Palestine will continue. “The people of Pakistan stand with the people of Palestine, but the rulers are not fulfilling their responsibility. The rulers should stop empty rhetoric and take practical steps. The government should speak of a one-state solution, not two, for Palestine,” he said.

He recalled that October 7 brought a major change in the world. “Some thought America and Israel could not be defeated, but the mujahideen and guardians of Al-Aqsa unleashed a storm that astonished the world and exposed Israel. Muslim rulers should have united at that moment and ended Israeli brutality forever, but they remained silent. Israel took revenge for its defeat on unarmed Palestinians, martyring thousands, including children and women. Even today, bodies remain buried under the rubble,” he said.

‘Even After Ceasefire, 1,400 Martyred, 5,000 Injured’

He noted that even after the so-called ceasefire, 1,400 Palestinians have been martyred and 5,000 injured. “Israeli brutality in Gaza has exposed the face of Western democracy, and America’s terrorist face has become even clearer. People across the world have risen against Israeli brutality, yet ruling elites create obstacles for them,” he said.

He added that 9,000 Palestinians remain imprisoned in Israeli jails, subjected to the worst torture, with 300 martyred.

‘Hamas is the Best Example of an Islamic Movement’

Hafiz Naeem praised Hamas, stating that before the war, Israeli and American propaganda had blinded people. “Allah has given this strength to Hamas, which has exposed Western propaganda. The people of Gaza have opened the eyes of the entire world. They recite the Quran, are full of passion, present in the field of action, enriched with knowledge and ethics, and are at the forefront of diplomacy. The people of Gaza are translating the message of the Ummah and uniting it,” he said.

“Hamas is the best example of an Islamic movement in the world. Hamas has proven that true Islamic movements are rooted in the masses at the grassroots level. Hamas has made excellent use of the power of social media,” he concluded.
