JI emphasized that the protest sit-ins against the petroleum levy are not limited to Islamabad alone but are also ongoing in various parts of the country, with the public being mobilized into the movement.
The party maintains that the government is imposing an additional burden on the people through various taxes and levies on petroleum products, which in turn affects transport, essential commodities, and overall inflation.
‘Sit-ins to Expand if Levy Not Abolished’
JI has made it clear that if the government does not abolish the petroleum levy, the series of sit-ins will be further expanded, and the protest struggle will continue for the rights of the people.
